File Share Library reminder

Tēnā koutou katoa,

As we continue to grow and strengthen our community of psychology educators, I would like to take a moment to remind NZAPT members about the File Share Library available on the password protected section of our website. This valuable resource is a collaborative space where kaiako across Aotearoa can access and contribute teaching materials, assessment exemplars, lesson plans, and ideas tailored to the New Zealand Curriculum and responsive to the diverse needs of our ākonga.

The File Share Library is built on the principle of ako – that we all learn from and with each other. Whether you’re new to teaching psychology or an experienced kaiako, your resources and insights can make a real difference in other classrooms. By sharing, you’re not only lightening the load for others, but also helping to shape a more connected, culturally responsive, and innovative community of practice.

We especially encourage sharing materials that reflect our multicultural classroom realities – incorporating te ao Māori, supporting neurodiverse learners, and engaging students from a range of cultural backgrounds.

To access resources, simply log in to the NZAPT website, members only and click on the File Share Library tab.

To add an uploads, simply email them to the nzapt email. Resources can include annotated PowerPoints, activity templates, or student-led project examples – all contributions are welcomed and appreciated. Check with your school whether you want to keep or remove identifying details but always remove student data.

Let’s continue to uphold the wairua of kotahitanga by supporting one another and fostering excellence in psychology education across Aotearoa.

Ngā mihi nui, Shelly Hulland NZAPT
